Description
Help to welcome SBTC's Youth Hiking Program with a hike from GSCA to Inglis Falls. With a leisurely pace this hike is suitable for families and new hikers, and will generally follow the main trail from the Conservation Authority to Inglis Falls and back. On Discovery Hikes we see what we can find along the way. Topics may include geology, history, or plants and animals depending on what we find. Participants can feel free to point things out or ask questions as we explore along the trail. We'll check out how this stretch of trail differs now as compared to other seasons.
Anyone under 16 must be joined by an adult for this hike. Youth under 18 may be unaccompanied if a parent or guardian has contacted the Hike Leader.
There are some uphill portions along this hike (we'll take our time), and there may be some slippery or mucky patches depending on conditions. Wear comfy, trail-appropriate shoes (runners are fine), bring a snack, and look forward to checking out the Sydenham River Valley in autumn! Unfortunately dogs can not attend these guided hikes.
