Location (Google Maps): The Rockview Bluffs property is accessed from the east side of West Street , north of Grey Road 17B and south of Vault Works Road. There is an unopened road allowance which we will use to access the planting area. This is located between 253 West St. and 259 West St. Please park on the west side of West St. The planting area is located 300 metres east along the road allowance. There will be Bruce Trail Volunteers at the site to help with parking and give directions.

Description
The Sydenham Biodiversity Team is hosting a public tree planting at Rockview Bluffs, starting at 1 pm.
Join us as we transform an abandoned field into healthy habitat for birds, insects and animals, by planting native trees and shrubs in groupings throughout the property. Volunteers will be able to plant several trees of their choosing and there will be experienced tree planters on hand to help if you have never planted a tree before. The trees are all saplings, so no heavy lifting is required.
This event is suitable for families and children.
Please wear sturdy closed-toe footwear and clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Gardening gloves are helpful. If you have a garden spade, please bring it with you. We will have extra shovels on hand for people who don't have one.
Be aware that this event takes place in a grassy field, so tick precautions are advised - eg tuck pants into socks and use tick repellent.
The planting field is located 300 metres down an unopened road allowance. Volunteers are required to walk in to the site. The terrain is flat but uneven and sturdy footwear is required.
