Description
Crawford Lake is a beautiful Meromictic Lake of scientific interest. It has a newly reconstructed boardwalk around it which should be open. We will use a combination of blue side trail, white main trail and Conservation trails to explore. We have the option of hiking main trail along the escarpment with great views across to Rattlesnake Point CA. Please meet in the upper parking lot at 9:45 for a 10:00 am. start. Bring water and a snack. Poles will be useful along the escarpment if we choose this route. Reservations with Halton Parks are necessary for parking. Best made ahead of time. I will send out a message the evening before with my contact information in the event that you need to cancel in the evening or in the morning.
