Description
This hike is for experienced hikers, esp those working on their Beaver Valley End to End. Note that this is not part of a full E2E series.
We will carpool at 2:00pm (or earlier if all participants have arrived) from BTC parking at Sideroad 7A (Old Ski Lookout GPS: 9CQV+627, Grey Highlands, ON N0C 1G0) to Epping Sideline 19 (GPS: 686220 Side Rd 19, Grey Highlands, ON N4L 1W7 will get you close). Then we will hike back to our vehicles, then someone will bring our drivers back to their vehicles. Estimated time for 10k hike is 3 hours. There will be very little road in this stretch.
We will be hiking in spring conditions (mud, possible rain) so be prepared for it all. Please have your poles at the ready and dress in layers including a waterproof outer layer. Hiking boots/shoes are mandatory. Please bring water/electrolytes and snacks, though we do not plan a meal break as this hike is scheduled between lunch and dinner time. There will likely be bugs, so bring bugspray/hats/sunscreen.
