Tobermory Weekend Sept. 27-29. Two nights. We arrive in Tobermory Friday 27 Sept. in time for dinner at 7:00pm. If you arrive earlier you will have time to visit the Parks Canada Visitor Centre. We will visit Flower Pot Island one day, cost $55.00 for Parks pass and ferry. Our slow paced walks give us time to explore the Island. Other walks will take us to the Grotto and Singing Sands. History of Crooks Hollow Walk

Part of IBTC education series. Join local historian enthusiast Rosemary Horsewood as she leads us on a walk through this once busy industrial area dating back to 1803. We’ll start at Crooks Hollow dam and walk back to Crooks Hollow to point out the Miller’s houses then walk along Spencer’s Creek and talk about Darnley Grist Mill, Bullocks Corner and houses that still stand from this period.
PLEASE NOTE Highway # 8 has a washed out section so you will not be able to take normal route up #8. Please check Google map or some other direction app to figure out your route or call me 905-637-7136
Meet at Crooks Hollow Parking Lot on south side left if heading west on Crooks Hollow Road just past 745 Crooks Hollow Raod. This hike is a chance to explore and enjoy this section of the trail between Burlington and Waterdown. Beautiful any time of the year, it is spectacular when the leaves change colour. Great views towards the lake. With luck we may spot some late leaving Turkey Vultures.
