Tuesday Evening Not-the-Bruce Trail Hike

We’ll do a loop hike in Dundas Valley on the trails between the Dundas Valley Trail Centre and the C.P.R. line. Park at the corner of Newcombe and Davidson in Dundas. To get there, take Governor’s Rd. west from downtown Dundas to Pirie which is the last street on your right before reaching the entrance to Dundas Valley Conservation Area. Turn right on Pirie and then left on Newcombe. Follow Newcombe all the way to the bottom of the escarpment where it meets Davidson. Park curbside. Wear boots and bring water. Pub stop will follow.

Location (Google Maps): Directions: From Hamilton take 403 to West. Exit at Wilson St in Ancaster. Turn right on Wilson St. At the traffic take the exit right onto Meadowbrook St (3rd exit). Take Meadowbrook to Jerseyville Side Rd and turn right. Just pass the high school the Little League Park is on the right at the bottom of the hill.Pace: Medium – 3 to 4 km/hr

We will take Spring Valley trail to close to the Homestead trail. Back through the Hamilton Conservation Authority property. Somewhat hilly. Bring a snack, water, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Climb the steps and walk the streets and trails of West Hamilton. We will hike sections of the Bruce Trail as well as the trails of Iroquoia Heights. There will be weekly walks all summer. Now we are all getting older we are not hiking as fast as we used to. Hike is cancelled if there is heavy rain.

RBG North Shore Trail
