Gentle Hike - Oakville

Come Explore the beautiful Sixteen Mile Creek Valley in Oakville. This valley is a jewel in the middle of a busy urban area. The Sixteen Mile Creek winds its way through steep cliffs and woods. We will walk along the upper trails and then down onto the lower trails beside the creek. Some long and gentle hills. Bring a snack, water, insect repellent and sunscreen. Meet in the parking lot, beside the baseball diamonds, on the southeast corner of Neyagawa and River Glen Blvd. (north of Upper Middle Rd. and south of Highway 5). for a 10:00 am. start.

Tuesday Evening Not-the-Bruce Trail Hike

This maze of Middle Dundas Valley trails will start from the parking lot of the Lion’s Club Outdoor Pool on Jerseyville Rd. in Ancaster. Get there by taking Wilson St. in Ancaster to Fiddler’s Green. Turn right on Fiddler’s and go to the stop sign at Jerseyville Rd. Turn left on Jerseyville and go 1 km to the entrance to the Outdoor Pool on your right. Wear boots and bring water. We’ll do pub stop after.

Now we are all getting older we are not hiking as fast as we used to. Hike is cancelled if there is heavy rain.
