Please bring exact CASH if possible. We will follow the Bruce Main Trail east to Enchanted Forest Side Trail. Turn right onto Main Trail at end of Enchanted Forest and continue a short distance to Moss Haven Side Trail. At top of Moss Haven continue west on Main Trail back through parking lot, north on 1st Line E, then west to Rock Hill Park Side Trail. Where Rock Hill Park rejoins the Main Trail turn south and return to parking lot, taking the David Hahn Side Trail loop along the way.

This is a shuttle hike from 30 Sideroad to Mono Centre. Please be prepared to use your vehicle to transport hikers and please bring a garbage bag for your dirty boots and clean footwear to change into for the ride back to the start. We will leave those things in the cars at the start so you don’t have to carry them on the hike. Please make sure you are wearing comfortable boots and layers for the weather. Please pack bug spray and sunblock. Please bring two litres of water, a snack, a lunch and a smile. Please arrive at 9:30 to be ready to shuttle at 9:45 sharp.

The hikes will be undertaken at a medium pace of approximately 4 km/hour for 13 – 15 kms each hike. Please consider your fitness level before registering, this is a group hike, and everyone is expected to keep pace with the person in front of them for the duration of the hike. The weather can be changeable at this time of year, so dress in layers for any possibility. The terrain may be wet and slippery in sections, wear hiking boots and bring hiking poles. Bring a snack, plenty of water and other hydration as needed. We will be travelling from south to north over the series. The series will require car shuffles, and everyone will be expected to participate as drivers. Today’s hike, the third of four, will be 12.5 km in length. We’ll follow 2nd Line EHS Side Trail south to 25 Sideroad, cross the stile and continue south on Walter Tovell Side Trail to Clifftop Trail. Keep right on Clifftop Trail to Bruce Main Trail, following the Main Trail west and north to Lookout Side Trail (km 4.0). Take Lookout Trail north and east to Walter Tovell and return north on Walter Tovell and 2nd Line EHS Side Trail to parking lot.

The short hike will exclude the Pine River Valley and Carl Alexander Side Trails and return to the parking area via Main Trail and Kilgorie Side Trail. Hike will be on main BTC trail and side trails, following white and blue blazes and park trails. We hike in loops starting on Southern Outlier Loop Trail , intersecting and following Spillway Trail , Walter Tovell, Look Out , McCarston’s Lake and Laidlaw and back to the parking lot. Moreover, we will make a short walk to visit the famous sheer cliff of the “Mono” to admire its beauty formation and vista and will continue on the Cliff Top Trail afterwards. This is a Moderate hike – with hilly sections, rocky in some parts and steep climbing sometimes. Please be prepared and bring with you the basics: Hiking boots, poles, a lunch / snacks and a minimum 2L of water , rain gear if it’s in the forecast and your enthusiasm. Long pants and sleeves sun protection, bug spray, recommended as well. The hike is around 4- 4.5 hours with short breaks and a lunch. We will hike at pace 3-3.5 km/h.
