Description This is a “there and back” hike. The trail is varied and will take us on a road allowance through woodlands, a hay field, pine and spruce groves, open fields with great views; and up and down a ravine Spring is in the air, and Easter just a few days away! Hopefully we will notice many signs of Spring! Bring water, snacks, poles and dress for the weather.
Hosting Club: Caledon Hills Category: Tuesday Hikers Location (Google Maps): Noisy River Nature Reserve, Blue Mountain Section, Lavender. Roadside parking at km 55.7 on Mulmur-Nottawasaga Townline, 550 metres east of Lavender Hill Rd. at the cemetery.

Description Roadside parking at the Lavender cemetery, 550 m east of Lavender Hill Rd. We will hike north to the Noisy River Provincial Nature Reserve, and return. We will hike through the small town of Lavender. This marks the end of the Dufferin Hi-Lands Section and the beginning of Blue Mountains Section. We then enter the nature reserve. The trail wanders in and out of woods and pasture land to the escarpment edge and scenic lookout . The trail continues through mature forest to County Rd. 9 where we will turn around and return to the parking area.
Bring water and snacks; dress for the weather; poles recommended. Pub stop in Creemore after the hike.

Description We will walk north on the Main Trail into Glen Haffy Conservation Area and then loop on the Conservation Area Trails and return via the Bruce Trail. In order to allow us to connect with nature during this Forest Bathing Walk, we will not talk doing the walk – saving our cheerful conversation to before the walk, lunch break and after the walk. Possible mud and wet areas. Bring water and lunch.

Description Since Mono Cliffs is often very busy, we will start and end our hike outside the boundaries of the provincial park. There is a variety of terrain and viewpoints and we hope to see some spring wildflowers. Lunch at McCarston’s Lake.
