Difficulty: EasyPart 3 of my hikes exploring trails along or in proximity of the Credit River we will begin our hike at Riverwood Conservancy and head north on the Culham Trail as far as Eglington Avenue crossing over to stop for lunch at historic Leslie Log House. We will complete the hike by working our way south via Woodland Chase Trail, Mullet Creek watercourse, Trapper’s Green to Sawmill Valley Trail and Culham Trail across the footbridge to Erindale Park. For hikers wishing to return to their cars you can drop out at the 8 km mark and return to Riverwood by way of Burnhamthorpe Rd for a total 10 km loop hike. Or if you are really psyched and willing to do the full 16 km loop by way of Erindale Park you can stay with the group and I will complete the loop with you.
Meet at:Islington Subway Stn, MiWay bus 26, Platform D for 9:05 am departure.
For drivers going directly to the start of the hike, follow Riverwood Park Ln from Burnhamthorpe Rd W and park in the Main Parking. Walk through MacEwan Terrace Garden to Visual Arts Mississauga Building and washrooms. Wait for the rest of us to arrive. The hike will begin at 10 am.

This hike uses a combination of blue and main Bruce Trail to explore this lovey area, some of it set on the Bennett Heritage Farm. There are areas of rocky terrain with hills, lovely creeks and farm land. Afterwards you can have a closer look at the farm and its history. Bring water, a snack or lunch, hand sanitizer and a mask. This hike is open to BTC members only and you must pre-register. Once you have registered you will receive a list of items to bring. Suitable for determined beginners.

For the energetic, there will be an opportunity to climb the newly built staircase (completed June 2020) down the escarpment and back up again. We return via the main trail. Difficulty: BeginnerWe will travel past the meadows, wetlands, oxbows and woodlands of the upper East Don Valley River trail to Steeles and return through the pristine remnant hardwood stand of Bestview Park, looking for the salmon running along German Mills Creek. We then travel Finch Corridor Recreational Trail to return along Newtonbrook Creek back to the Leslie Subway Station. Bring lunch and water. Masks recommended. All hikers must adhere to social distancing 2 meters separation.
Meet at:East Entrance of Leslie Station on Line 4, the Sheppard subway.
Take the tunnel at the east end of the platform following the signs marked "TO LESLIE STREET.". A public parking lot is on the North-West side of Leslie/Sheppard and is accessed from Sheppard Avenue and Old Leslie. Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure.
