Description

Part of the IBTC education series of walks.  This walk takes will take us through Quarry Trail within this ecological preserve on the corner of 7th Concession just north of Gore Road in West Flamborough.  Part of the Hamilton Conservation Authority We'll meet at the free parking lot located at 43.4136 N 80.1204W.  We'll be taking the double loops of the trail with several stops to talk about the history and ecology of this unique wetland called a fen.  Please arrive at 8:45 AM so we can start at 9 am. Contact Bron brontreg@cogeco.ca to register. Bring water and a snack. Optional refreshment after walk.
