Description
Please join me in one of my favourite hikes in the park. We will start at the roadside parking lot at the bend on Veterans Way, and follow the crests of the sand dunes to the Nottawasaga River. We will follow the trails beside the river to the Oxbow and return to our cars via the snowmobile trails. This is a very scenic hike through oak and pine forests, and I hope the fall colours will make it even better. The first part of the hike has many hills, some of which are long and steep. These trails are mostly hard packed sand with no mud, roots or rocks. If the trail proves to be too difficult for some, there are plenty of cut-out points available.
