Description

Join us to hike south on the Don Mills Recreational Trail (formerly Leaside Spur Rail Trail) from York Mills south to Eglinton. We'll have a break at the Civic Garden Centre at Leslie and Lawrence. At Leslie and Eglinton we will make our way to the newly opened Big Bear Park, site of the giant bear statue. If we're lucky we'll find the six smaller life size seated bears expressing human qualities to symbolize inclusivity and unity. We'll finish up passing through Agha Khan Park to the Agha Kahn Park & Museum Station on TTC Line 5. There will be an optional refreshment stop after the hike taking Line 5 two stations east.
