Description
The second hike in the E2E series starts in the Kolapore Uplands (km 23.8, Bruce Trail Map #25) and passes through the Duncan Crevice Caves Provincial Nature Reserve. We will see the Pinnacle Rock, a large piece of rock that has separated from the Niagara Escarpment, and the spectacular Duncan Crevice Caves. We should also catch views of Beaver Valley and Georgian Bay. The hike will end at km 39.3 (Map #25).
All experienced, fit hikers are welcome to join us, including those who are not working towards an E2E badge.
The total hike distance is approximately 15.5 km, including approximately 3 km of road walking. There will be a dropout point at approximately 9.5 km. Time permitting, we will have a refreshment stop in Primrose.
Hiking boots and poles are recommended. Also bring a lunch and snacks, at least 2L of water, rain/sun protection as needed, and insect repellent.
