Description
This hike is part of our 🌈 Rainbow Hike program , which aims to foster connection, visibility, and community among 2SLGBTQIA+ hikers and allies.
Come for a ~9 km out and back hike in beautiful Limehouse Conservation Area. Quaint trails, mill ruins, ancient maple, the awesome hole-in-the-wall ... all a short drive from the city. Time permitting, Monica will go through biodiversity features along the route. This will be mais' last hike for the season - so make it a double-rainbow weekend by attending both Doug O'Neill's Rainbow Hike on the 14th and this one!
Meet at Limehouse Conservation Area trail head at 9:15am for a 9:30am start.
Please bring sufficient water for a 3 hour hike. We will not have an official snack break - but please feel free to bring something small to snack on along the way.
Expect rocks and roots underfoot. Good hiking shoes or boots essential. Poles if you use them. Dress in layers for fall weather. Long pants and rain gear are always recommended, as well as extra pair of socks and dry comfortable footwear to change into after the hike.
No dogs please.
All participants will receive a free Bruce Trail Conservancy Rainbow Pride Badge.
Optional post-hike social TBC.
Please share this hike with your 2SLGBTQIA+ hiker family and friends.
