Description
We will Hike along the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail Westbound, visit the grounds of the Eaton Hall circa 1939, Henry Pellat's stables (Casa Loma fame), Sacred Heart Church of the colony of Sacred Heart circa 1930, St Augustine Monastry. Stop at the Pine Farms Orchard for lunch and shop for home made jams, baked goods, etc. From here we will have approximately 2km of road walking along the 16th to Weston Road and continue West through the wooded trail to Concession 7 and end at Happy Valley. (Subject to change at leader’s /back up’s discretion.)
Please note that this is not a loop hike, therefore those who want to meet us at the trail head rather than at York Mills must arrange to be picked up at trail's end. We won't be able to take you back to your car.
After the hike we will go to Schomberg for refreshments (Beer Bar, and adjacent Cafe)
