Description

Kick off the year where the Escarpment meets the sky.

The Grotto in winter feels like stepping into a myth — towering cliffs dusted in frost, Georgian Bay glowing that impossible shade of turquoise, and the echo of waves rumbling under ice shelves.

We’ll wander through quiet cedar forests, follow snow‑softened trails, and arrive at the iconic shoreline lookout where the world opens up in every direction.

Expect frozen wave sculptures, dramatic cliff edges, and that wild, refreshing “new year, new adventure” energy that only the Bruce can deliver.

Bring warm layers, hot chocolate, good traction (ice crampons recommended), and whatever intention you want to carry into the new year.

The Grotto has a way of setting the tone — calm, crisp, and a little bit bold.

This hike is weather‑dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of a snowstorm.
