Location (Google Maps): Port Credit Go Station, southeast side of the Station. Take the 9:43 Lake Shore West Go train from Union Station arriving at 10:09. Coming by car, park in any of the Go Station Parking Lots.

Description

Come and enjoy the azaleas and rhododendrons surrounded by white pines, as part of an annual Spring scenic walk along Lake Ontario to Rattray Marsh, finishing at Jack Darling Memorial Park Entrance from where we will catch MiWay #23 bus back to our point of origin. Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens features one of the largest collections of rhododendrons in Canada and this is the peak time to take in all their glory. Other highlights will be the Credit River Marsh off of Mineola & Stavebank Roads, Port Credit Light House, Godfrey's Lane Parkette's tree carvings, the Peace Stone in Richard's Memorial Park and Rattray Conservation Area. This is a one way hike with an added loop at the start and finish.

Rest Stops: At 5.5 for lunch and 11 km

Public Washrooms: At Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens (5.5 km) & Jack Darling Memorial Park (9.3 & 12.5 km)

What to bring: Hat, sun screen, a lunch or snacks, drinking water & Presto card or change for bus. Seniors ride for only $1.
