Description
This is an extreme hiking challenge - please register only if you are capable of hiking 47 km on flat asphalt surfaces for a prolonged period of time at a steady 5km pace. The route is primarily along the Welland Canal. Please bring enough water and snacks to sustain you over a long day. There are no checkpoints or dropout locations. If you cannot complete the distance, you will have to arrange a taxi back at your cost. This hike qualifies you for the old Merritthon badge for $10. Please be prepared to drive to Port Colborne or drive the driver back once we get finished. Drivers will be by random draw unless I can find a Trail Angel.
