Description

Protect nature and keep the Bruce Trail clean. Learn about ecology, sustainability, conservation and Indigenous cultural and environmental perspectives on the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula. Discover how to help become stewards of the land, as you hike the Bruce Trail.

This hike will be led by Caley Doran, an Indigenous Trail & Adventure Guide to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula and Angela Gunn from MacGregor Point Provincial Park.

During the hike, you will also help to collect litter found along the Bruce Trail.  After the Enviro-hike, join us to help sort and categorize the litter collected and have lunch together. We will talk about your Enviro-hike experience and share ideas about how each of us can work together to steward the land and water and promote “Leave No Trace” principles.

Wear sturdy footwear, a hat and sunscreen. Bring water and lunch. All litter pickup equipment will be provided.

This is an out and back hike. Uneven terrain. Roots and rocks can be slippery when wet.

This is a moderately paced hike - ~ 3 1/2 km/hr. Can be strenuous if the day is hot and muggy.
