Driving directions:
From Hwy # 10 north of Orangeville, turn east on to Hockley Rd. Drive for 1.1 km. Continue straight onto Side Road 5 for 1.6 km. Turn left onto 1st Line EHS for 900 meters. Continue straight into the parking lot.
***DO NOT TAKE 1ST LINE EHS SOUTH FROM HOCKLEY ROAD. It is not maintained. Google maps may suggest this impassable route

Description
If you can take pictures on your phone, this day will get you well started in earning your Citizen Scientist Badge from the Caledon Hills Club. This leisurely 3-5 km Nature Walk will include instruction in how to use or improve your use of iNaturalist. iNaturalist data is used to collect biodiversity data that can be used by land stewards, property owners and conservation staff at the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes, bring sunscreen, bug spray, water and a phone for taking photos. A back-up battery charger may be useful.
Optional: bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with the group after the hike and have a chance to ask questions and compare notes.
We will email you instructions on how to download and set up your iNaturalist account before the hike when you register.
