Description
All 9 Stained Glass Badges over 3 years - Hike series #6 - Beaver Valley
We will be completing an end to end of the Beaver Valley section in 6 hikes. The hikes average about 20 km per hike and are as follows: (1) Windy Lane to Fairmont ST (2) Fairmont ST to Blantyre (3) Windy Lane to Eugenia Falls (4) Eugenia Falls to Fox Ridge Road (5) Fox Ridge Road to km 20 (approx) and (6) Maple Lane to km 20. The full hike schedule will be distributed to participants upon registration.
Hikes will proceed rain or shine. Pace will be moderate (approx 4 km per hour not including a lunch stop). Breaks will be taken throughout the hikes as appropriate. Except for shuttles, hikers are expected to be self sufficient. Please bring everything that you might require to enjoy the hikes including water, snacks, lunch, appropriate footwear and clothing, personal medical kit and anything else that you might require.
Parking availability varies throughout the hikes. Parking locations may change depending on the number of participants. We may also use Eugenia Falls Conservation Area parking which is $10 per vehicle. The exact details of each hike will be discussed with the group at the beginning of the first hike.
Participants will be allowed to miss one of the scheduled hikes provided that they complete a make-up hike on their own or with a group before the last scheduled hike. Badges will be distributed at the end of the last hike.
At the first hike, participants will be required to sign a waiver in favour of the hike leader similar to the one they sign in favour of the BTC on registration.
