Description
We hiked this in snow and sleet, this time we will explore the old regenerated quarry in it's summer splendor! For those who wish to return, I will be leading this hike Thursday June 16 and Monday June 20 10:30 to 2:30 approx.
Fletcher's Creek Preserve is an abandoned quarry site that has been rehabilitated and is located at the headwaters of the Spencer Creek watershed
We will take the same(and only) loop hike through the preserve as well as an adjacent trail that also was part of the quarry back in the day-lots of local history- it was the area swimming hole and some still use it.
WATER is a MUST. Strongly suggests bug spray, sun screen, hat, hiking boots, hiking pole, water snack/lunch, cell phone, and appropriate clothing for the weather
