Description

This 9 km hike offers beautiful views of Georgian Bay but has some rocky, challenging sections. At km 111.1 we will take the Main Trail to the right toward the scarp edge. We will head north to the Devil’s Monument Side Trail where we will descend the escarpment to reach the base of the monument. Once we have explored the area we will head back to the Main Trail and continue north for over 1 km of rough terrain before swinging inland. We will hike through a forest then follow a rocky incline to the scarp edge and continue north where we will pass several exceptional lookouts. We will continue until the trail reaches the Michiganders Arch at km 114.9. We will then turn around and head south on the Anne and Clayton Roberts Side Trail to the Cottrill Lake Side Trail to the Lillie Family Side Trail and then to the Minhinnick Side Trail. We will pass through mixed forests, hardwood forests, a small inland lake and a glacier pot hole.

Because of the difficulty of this hike, experienced hikers only please.
