Description

This is a gentle urban walk on paved trail designed for those slowing down or just starting.  Caregivers with strollers welcome.  Trail is paved with some grass spots at the memorial Guest leaders are Marian Toth & Gary Wrathall local history buffs.  Meet at 9:50 am at The Sandbox Beach Bar, 680 Waterfront Tail to sign up. Enter through the Confederation Park Gates and follow signs to Beaches Grill (Old name for The Sandbox Beach Bar )where there is ample parking and washrooms open to the public.We will walk along the Waterfront Trail to the War of 1812 Naval Memorial Garden and Baranga’s on the Beach to discuss the history of those locations. We will pass some environmentally sensitive areas along the way and see some of the ways the Hamilton Conservation Authority is working to keep waterways healthy.
