Description

  1. Walk a scenic route where forest, shoreline, and escarpment landscapes come together near Dyers Bay. The trail leads to Wingfield Basin, where hikers can take in views of the shoreline and striking rock formations including Boulder Bluff and Middle Bluff. Along the way, participants will notice the geological and ecological features that define this rugged shoreline of Georgian Bay. A brief stop at the historic Cabot Head Lighthouse adds cultural context before returning along the same peaceful route. This hike offers a chance to experience the natural beauty of the peninsula while sharing a deeper connection to the landscapes that bring hikers together

This will be approximately a 20km out-and-back hike, and we aim to return to the parking lot by 3pm.

Please bring water, snacks, and lunch, as well as any refreshments you may need. Layered clothing is recommended since the weather may change throughout the day, and hiking poles are optional.

Our lunch stop will be at the Lighthouse before we head back to Harkins Rd parking.
