Please note: Due to ongoing construction and washroom issues at Islington, the bus will be picking up and dropping off at the North Parking Lot at the Kipling Subway Station. There is a washroom in the station on the upper bus level and there is a Tim Hortons/Wendy's across Dundas Street West from the parking area. The lot offers free parking on weekends. If driving you can access this parking area from Dundas Street West via Acorn Ave.
Join us for Part III of the Beaver Valley end to end series. We'll be walking through the Kolapore Highlands portion of the section today with some nice views, good climbs some forests and little bit of road walking. This is one of seven hikes that will take in the whole of the Beaver Valley Section of the Bruce Trail. Each will be of 16-17 km in length. They are designed so that anyone of reasonable fitness can complete the End to End and obtain a badge. These will not be fast hikes.
Bring your lunch and at least 2 litres of water. We'll be meeting the bus something over half way so you can leave part of your water supply for later pickup. Do not leave your lunch on the bus as we'll be eating before we see it again.
As this trip will be fully booked we will not be accepting any car hikers with the group, there won't be any way to get you back to your car at the end of the day.
Following the hike we will have a roughly 30 minute washroom and refreshment stop in Primrose. There are several places to eat at the crossroads.
