Description

In Fall 2024, approximately 90 American Chestnut trees were planted on the property.  Be part of the ongoing monitoring and maintenance program.  Volunteers will assist DHBTC Biodiversity Committee members and Bruce Trail Conservancy Ecologists with mulching and replacing tree guards.  We will also be examining trees to help determine survival rates.  Some invasive species removal may also occur.

If time permits, a short hike of the area will occur.

Please bring water and gloves if you have them.  It is recommended you dress according to the weather and wear sturdy boots or shoes and long pants as ticks are possible in the area.  All other equipment will be provided.
