Snowshoers: Join Duro for a fun-filled guided snowshoe hike, or team up with some friends and explore the trails at your own pace. Skiers: Explore the forest on 46 km of trails groomed for classic and skate skiing. Keep your eyes peeled for deer. Ski and snowshoe rentals available.
To participate you must be fully vaccinated agains COVID-19. You will have to show proof of vaccination to enter the bus. You will also have to wear a mask at all times while on the bus.

4-Hike leader may request volunteers to stop at trail intersections, they need to help hikers to the direction the group walk and wait till they see the sweep .

Description Join us for a super day of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Highlands Nordic. Snowshoers: Join Fred and David for an intermediate level guided snowshoe hike on the resort’s trails (fit beginners welcome). The group will start off on the red trail, which includes a steady climb up and then a steady climb down. Then the group will stop for lunch at the chalet. After lunch the group will do a second loop hike covering the blue, green and/or yellow trails. If you prefer, you can team up with some friends and explore the resort’s trails at your own pace. Skiers: Enjoy views of Georgian Bay while floating through the winter woods on trails groomed for classic and skate skiing.

Description Join us for a pleasant walk from Victoria Park Avenue to the front entrance to Glendon College at Bayview and Lawrence. We’ll be following Taylor Creek and the West Don River for most of the day, keeping to the paths less well travelled.

What to bring: Lunch, 1.5 litres of water (something warm is also recommended) and dress in layers. It may start off cold but after a couple of hours walking you’ll have warmed up. If it is a sunny day sun protection is also recommended.
Ice Precautions: If there has been no fresh snow for a week or so prior to the walk I recommend bringing icers rather than snowshoes. However, something to provide traction on hard snow or ice is mandatory for this hike.
Transit: If you drive to the start point there is parking available at the Victoria Park Subway. This is a one way hike so to get back to pick up your vehicle you will have to take subway line 1 south and line 2 west back to Victoria Park. When we finish at the gates of Glendon College you can pick up route 124 Sunnybrook to Lawrence Subway station.

Description Let’s explore the wintry beauty of the Eldred King Woodlands. We’ll maintain a moderate pace as we complete a double loop using main and side trails of the Oak Ridges Trail system. The footing will be hardpacked to shin deep snow, with some icy patches depending on weather conditions. The terrain is mostly flat with frequent gentle inclines.
Please dress in layers, appropriate to the weather conditions. Hiking boots and icers are mandatory. Bring snowshoes just in case. We’ll assess conditions before the hike.
Have plenty of water, snacks, and lunch which we will enjoy on the trail.

Snowshoers: Join Wayne and Michael for a guided snowshoe hike on various trails in the Copeland Forest (no charge) or explore the resort’s trails on your own. Skiers: Enjoy self-guided tours of the Copeland Forest and trails that are expertly groomed for classic and skate skiing.

Exit from North York Centre Subway Station on West side and take the stairs to street level or take the escalator in the mall, exit to Yonge Street and turn right. The Starbucks is on the southeast corner on the outside of the mall overlooking Mel Lastman Square.
Description Earl Bales Park is a beautiful park for a winter walk. We will walk west through York Cemetery to join the nature trail at Burnett Park and connect to the trails at Earl Bales Park. If open at the time we may stop at the Community Centre. From Earl Bales Park we will hike into the Don Valley Golf Course to finish at York Mills Subway Station. Ice footwear required.

Description Every January and February, the townsfolk of Port Credit walk on the frozen Credit River estuary on what constitutes marsh land as far as the Mississauga Golf and Country Club. We will take advantage of the winter freeze to trek to the former site of the Credit Mission Village of the Mississaugas from 1826 to 1847 located on the golf course. This is a there and back hike with a loop on each end. Snowshoes or icers are recommended. On the return portion we will visit Port Credit and stop at the Crooked Cue for refreshments. Please pack snacks or a lunch and a warm beverage. Covid-19 safety protocols still apply.

Ferry tickets can be purchased when you arrive or online (non-refundable and valid only on the selected date). Ferry return fares: $8.50 adult, $5.50 student/senior, $4.00 junior (under 14).
Description The Toronto Islands are very peaceful in the Winter Season. We will catch the 3:15 or 3:45 pm ferry to be back in the city by 4 pm. Bring a lunch, snacks, water, a hot beverage, and icers if available. Dress in warm layers appropriate to the weather. Heated washrooms available. Dropout anytime by walking back to the Ward’s Island Ferry Dock. We will hike to Hanlan’s Point and return to Ward’s Island (only destination served in the Winter) – approximately 6 km each way.
