Join me for a leisurely walk from Old Mill Subway south to the lakefront. We will go west a little bit and take in part of Humber Bay Park East, before heading eastward along the lake to High Park. We’ll take a meandering route through the forested area, finishing at the north east corner of the Park, across from the Keele Subway Station.We are starting early to avoid the worst heat of the day and you’ll have the entire afternoon and evening to relax.
You Need: Bring at least two litres of water and snacks. Good walking shoes will be adequate. Sun protection.

Location (Google Maps): Long Branch GO Station. Meet outside the station building. Westbound 8:45 train from Union arrives at 9:06 AM. To reach the location by TTC take #123B or #123C from Kipling Station to final stop at Long Branch Loop. Walk west on Exmoor Drive (behind the Royal Canadian Legion) 3 minutes to the GO station. Free parking at the GO station.

Join us for a morning hike on Mississauga’s Waterfront Trail through Marie Curtis Park, Lakefront Promenade Park, and the beautiful Adamson Estate.. We’ll follow the Waterfront Trail route to the Credit River & the “village” of Port Credit. After the hike have lunch in the park or there is a variety of restaurants and pubs along Lakeshore Blvd. Return to Toronto or start by GO Train (trains run on the hour) or by taking the #23E Miway (Mississauga) bus back to Long Branch. Bring sunscreen, hand sanitizer, mask, water, snacks, and lunch. Physical distancing of 2 metres between hikers to be maintained during the hike.Route Map:

We will hike from York Mills and Bayview to Lawrence and Yonge following Wilket Creek south from Irving Paisley Park through Rippleton Park and along the Don Mills Spur Trail, crossing over to Sunnybrook Park and then following the Burke Brook Ravine west to our final destination on the Yonge Subway Line. This is mostly a shady hike but do bring a hat, sun screen, lunch, water, face mask and hand sanitizer. Water fountains and washrooms available at Sunnybrook Park. Face masks are mandatory wherever we gather, i.e. at the start of the hike or rest stops and at all other times we will keep a 2 meter distance from each other and other recreational users. - 13July 13, 2021

We will walk southbound along Colborne Drive to Lakeshore Blvd, eastbound along the Western Beaches, pass Palais Royale & the Boulevard Tennis Club, go through Ontario Place, and finish at Harbourfront for refreshments at Lavazza Coffee Shop. Dropout along the Lakeshore any time but public transportation not available until we arrive at Ontario Place. Duration of hike 3-4 hours. Lunch & refreshment stops and washrooms along the route based on the weather conditions.
