    Location (Google Maps): Parking lot on north side of York Road just west of the Niagara River Parkway. Across the street from the Niagara River Recreational Trail. Look for the Greenbelt Route sign in the parking lot.

    Description

    Once in a Blue Moon Night Hike – Park at the base of the escarpment (York Road just west of the Parkway) and follow the Niagara River Recreational Trail up to Queenston Heights to take in the magic of the rising moon over Niagara-on-the-Lake, follow the main trail to Alfred’s Trot side trail and loop back along the main trail. This hike includes a stop to connect with your senses – sights, sounds, smells and the rhythm of your breath.  Counts towards your night hike badge (5 night hikes). Bring a night light and wear hiking shoes.
