Description
Weekly Bluebird Box Monitoring throughout Short Hills Provincial Park from March – August.
We monitor & maintain 74 bluebird boxes throughout the park, we hike approximately 10 km over approximately 3 hours depending on how many volunteers we have. There are several bluebird trails throughout the park – we will be travelling off the beaten path. Bring gloves, water, snacks & a Robertson screwdriver. Hiking footwear required and be prepared for ticks – socks tucked into pants, gaiters work well, bug spray with DEET & check thoroughly after the hike.
This is a slower paced hike – we enjoy checking out the flora & fauna along the way but it is about 10 km of tougher trails.
