Follow the Terrace Falls Trail around the Rim of Africa and the Black Walnut trail.   Bring Headlamp,Bug Spray.   This hike will count towards the night hike badge.

    A short Hike from Queenston heights to the Botanical Gardens of Niagara. Established in 1936, the Botanical Gardens presents visitors with 99 acres (40 hectares) of beautifully maintained gardens that include perennials, rhododendrons, azaleas, a formal parterre garden, herb and vegetable plantings, and our world-famous rose garden featuring over 2,400 roses.

    We will hike from the parking lot at Louth Conservation Area and follow the Staff Ave Side Trail, Louth Side Trail to the main trail and head west to Staff Ave where we will turnaround and come back the way we came.

    Description

    Hike the entire Niagara Section over 10 weeks.  Due to Covid19, we will be completing this as a series of in and out hikes.  This series will start in Grimsby and end in Queenston (83km).  Upon successfully completing the entire Niagara section you can purchase a Niagara e2e badge.

    Meet at Lions Community Pool, 1 Elm St, Grimsby.  Hiking to top of Thirty Rd and back.

    We recommend that you bring extra water, snacks and poles.

    Description

    We will hike on the main trail from Grimsby heading east for about 2.5km until we get to Ridge Road and turnaround to come back. There are some rustic, well-worn stair climbs. This hike will be a bit more strenuous than others.

    Description

    We will hike from the Cairn at Queenston until we get to the steep switch back which goes down the escarpment. We will not go down the escarpment but rather turn around to make our way back.

    This hike will count towards the Night Hike Badge.

    Please note, there is a fee for parking $1.25 per hour paid at meters by credit card. This hike should take no more than 2 hours.
