Description
This is an out and back hike near Waterdown, no carpooling required. We will hike east from Old Guelph Road parking, through tunnel under Highway 6, proceeding along a very hilly challenging section of Bruce Trail to Smokey Hollow Great Falls. We will continue a short distance along the Bruce Trail to check out the wind telephone near McNally property where we will turn around retracing our steps along the Bruce Trail, incorporating a loop along Eric Best side trail if time and conditions allow. Please bring your own water (2-3 litres recommended), lunch and snacks.
Very hilly terrain, slippery when wet, hiking poles recommended, along with icers in the case of an early snow fall.
