After traversing the south side of Albion Falls we will follow the rail trail until we reach the Margate stairs. We will Ascend the 159 stairs to the top of the escarpment and then follow the paved path and then the blue side trail past Buttermilk Falls and Albion Falls and arriving back at the parking lot.Please arrive by 9:45 am as we will be on the trail by 10:00 am sharp. Bring water and a snack. Icers if necessary (hopefully not!)
If cancelled due to rain (snow?), I will notify you by email the evening prior to the hike. If you cancel after 4:00 pm on the day prior to the hike, use the contact information I will send you by email a day or two before the hike.

NOTE; WE HAVE RELOCATED THIS HIKE TO HILTON FALLS CONSERVATION AREA DUE TO DUFFERIN TRAIL CLOSURE. IT WILL BE A SIMILAR LENGTH. A PARKING FEE WILL BE REQUIRED AT HILTON FALLS.This is a series of loop hikes exploring various BT Blue trails in wintry and early spring conditions. Join us for one, some or all.
Today’s hike will explore the main trail and the various side trails for an 11 km look in Mono Cliffs Provincial Park.
Bring a snack and plenty of water, and other hydration as needed. Wear hiking boots and bring hiking poles. Icers may also be required.
Please arrive at the meeting place by 8:15 am as we will leave promptly at 8:30 am.

This 10.5 km hike will follow the main BT along the edge of the escarpment for great views of the Skyway bridge , Lake Ontario and surrounding area. We will continue to the outskirts of Waterdown and down into/out of the Grindstone Creek via the McNally and Waterdown Rd Side trails and main BT. Please dress in layers and bring water and a snack. Icers may be necessary.Expect baked goods 🙂

Distance: Approx 9 km, but could be more with the easier terrain.Description
Come enjoy an easy, leisurely hike up the Credit River, going through part of Erindale Park. There is one rocky, but flat section. We may get lucky and see some early Spring Ephemerals (wildflowers). Bring water, a snack and sunscreen. You probably don’t need poles but if you like using them as I do, bring them. (Exercises my upper arms as well as providing balance. ) - 10April 10, 2025

There are a couple of hills. The trail is fairly wide and comfortable. Bring snacks and water we will be stopping at the Hermitage for a quick snack.
