    Distance: 10 – 12 km

    Description

    Hike meet place: Approx. 9:30 at roadside parking on Boston Mills Rd. just west of the Mississauga Road intersection (note: driveway is private property). Map 14 km. 47.8¬† Ed. 29 GPS Coordinates: 43.754003, 79.948131

    The hike will take in parts of the main trail, Rockside side trail, Caledon Trailway, Winston Churchill side trail.

    There will be time to visit Spirit Tree Estates Cidery. They have an excellent bakery as well as cider. Hiking boots, 2 liters of water, lunch/snack, bug spray, sunscreen.

    No dogs please.

    Pace: Brisk – 4 to 5 km/hr
    Terrain: Moderate – Some hills and/or some poor footing, Strenuous – Hilly with steep climbs and some poor footing
    Distance: Approx 15-17km per day

    Description

    This is a two-day Special Event Hike for the new(ish) Laura Secord badge. On August 25th, we will meet at Woodend Conservation Area 1 Taylor Rd, Niagara Falls and carpool to the Laura Secord homestead 29 Queenston St,  Queenston. On August 26, we will meet at Woodend again and carpool to Decew House 2370 Decew Rd, Thorold.
    please bring enough water (2 litres minimum) and snacks and lunch for both days.

    Badges will be available on the second day. Please bring $10 for the badge if you would like to collect it.
