Meet in the lower parking lot at Rattlesnake Point on Appleby Line, north of Derry Rd. Parking fee or Conservation area pass. You must register with Conservation Halton. Our hike today will take us north along conservation area and Bruce Trail until we descend into Nassagaweya Canyon. We will follow main Bruce Trail south in the canyon. There is a lot to see in this gorgeous area with a creek, soaring escarpment, flat woodlands and the former buffalo compound. We will then ascend back to the top of the escarpment and return to our start. Great views across the canyon. Bring water, a snack, insect repellent and sunscreen. Hiking poles are useful.
