This is a self-guided hike along the Bruce Trail, the Escarpment Rail Trail and the Chedoke Radial Trail, and climbing up and down 7 sets of stairs along the Hamilton Escarpment (Uli – 140, Margate – 159, Kimberley – 228, Wentworth – 500, James – 232, Dundurn – 329, Chedoke – 289).

Everyone who completes the route and goes through the two checkpoints will earn the Steeltown Stomp badge.

    Description

Join us in the delights of Fall with not just one, but two, visits to Hilton Falls on the same hike.  Full disclosure here, there is very little water going over the Falls right now given the drought conditions we have been experiencing, but there is some and it is still a remarkable natural and historical destination.  We will walk about half of the Hilton Falls Side Trail and discover some new trails in the Halton Agreement Forest.  Some portions of our hike will be rocky so sturdy hiking boots and poles are recommended.  Please bring a lunch, a snack, 2.5 L of water, a smile and an appreciation of nature.  Conservation Halton reservations are required (3).  Please book as early as possible because they fill up and entry to the park is dependent upon it.  Conservation Halton annual pass recommended.  Ask for the Bruce Trail membership discount.
