    Distance: Approx. 6-7 km.

    Description

This short hike starts at the top of the escarpment at Kelso Summit, off of Steeles Avenue, between Appleby Line and Bell School Line.. It gives a lot of “bang for your buck” with spectacular views from the escarpment looking over Quarry Park as well as Kelso Lake. We will use a combination of blue and white trails to explore the area including the Lime Kilns located here. Expect some rocky areas and at least one hill down and then back up. You will need to reserve a spot to park here. Reserve a three hour spot or two back to back. Bring water, a snack, sunscreen, insect repellent and poles if using. Covid protocols in place.
