For the littlest hikers & hikers in training, geared towards ages 5 and under (not a hard limit) – we will meet at the south end of the second parking lot from the main entrance at 650 Governors Road (See purple “X” on attached map).  We will walk up to explore the train cars at the train station (Trail Centre).

From there, we will follow our child’s lead – some of the little ones may wish to do a little hike (certainly, following ones’ peers can be motivating!) while others may choose to remind us that there are plenty of leaves and rocks and little creatures to observe without going very far at all.

Bring water, snacks (of course!  when was the last time you went anywhere without snacks?!), sunscreen, insect spray, appropriate clothing & footwear.  Suggested but optional enrichment materials: paper + crayons for rubbing art, magnifying glass, binoculars.
