    Distance: Approx. 7 km.

    Description

This hike makes use of both white main trail and blue side trails to explore the areas east and west of Kerns Rd. On the east side we will see the views over towards Hamilton Bay and the Skyway and then drop down below the escarpment to hike into Kerncliff Park. Expect a number of hills with easy footing. We will end up at Kerncliff Park to walk the boardwalks around the marsh, hopefully spotting turtles and water snakes and maybe some frogs. From Kerncliff we will hike up Kerns Rd. to rejoin the main trail heading west to King Rd. Expect some rocky sections. Bring water, a snack, sunscreen, insect repellent as well as hiking poles if using. Covid protocols will be in effect.
