Description
MEET at City View Park at the SECOND parking lot going south from Dundas St.- We will cross Kerns Rd and hike Main trail over King St.(Salamander alley in Spring) to Mountain Brow Rd.
Option to go over the stile and continue 1 more km to Smokey Hollow to view falls and have a snack/lunch break- We will go back mostly the same way but take a Blue Side trail on our return towards Kerncliff Park and meander through the old quarry and then back to parking lot up top . Bring water, snack/lunch, appropriate clothing-rain or shine unless storm conditions prevail.

We will hike local trails in beautiful Blair, and then have a nice lunch at Langdon Hall. I will have made a reservation for you already, if you are signed up.
Nestled within the Carolinian Forest, Langdon Hall is one of 14 properties in Canada recognized by Relais & Châteaux for a standard of excellence and is known for incredible Five-Diamond dining experiences, exquisite accommodations and storybook architecture. Participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID. Please park as close to the red pin shown on the Google Map as possible (it's a large parking lot!).
Cell: 519-222-4040, on day of hike. At other times, email is the best way to contact me (use the Contact the Hike Leader feature on the BTC web page). Wear appropriate quick-dry clothing and hiking boots. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent (summer), icers (winter), snacks, lunch, a personal first aid kit , and 1-2 litres of water. During COVID, also bring hand sanitizer and a face mask. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
If you are unable to attend, in addition to cancelling on the BTC hikes web page, please email me the day before, or text me if it is less than 2 hours before the hike. There is a waiting list for this hike, so the more advance notice you give, the better.

This 10.5 km hike will follow the main BT along the edge of the escarpment for great views of the Skyway bridge , Lake Ontario and surrounding area. We will continue to the outskirts of Waterdown and down into/out of the Grinestone Creek via the McNally and Waterdown Rd Side trails and main BT. Description
This is an in and out hike, starting and ending at the parking spots on Guelph Line.
A short hike with deceiving elevation changes, there are lots of up and downs although not a very rocky section. There is a wonderful view of Burlington, Oakville and beyond. We'll also go around Fisher’s Pond on the Side Trail on out way back.
Speed of Hike is Moderate at 3-3.5 KM / per hour. (Although stopping for photos is allowed:)
Please ensure you check the weather are dressed appropriately with layers. Boots are required. Poles are recommended. If weather gets cold and icy, please have crampons (ice cleats) with you. And please bring at least 1L of water, snacks/food.
