Description
Predominantly a Side Trail Hike with some Main Trail and sections of road. We'll be doing the Vanderleck, Al Shaw, Canada Goose, Cliff Hatch and Speyside South Side Trails. Along with a few KMs of main Trail.
Loop hike, starting and ending at the Parking Lot. Lot has 15 spots and is Free. Entrance on 15 Sideroad just west of HWY 25.
Terrain on this Hike is Moderate. Not too much elevation change, but may be slippery and rocky in sections. And depending on conditions could be wet in parts.
Speed of Hike is Moderate at 3-3.5 KM / per hour. (Although stopping for photos is allowed:)
Please ensure you check the weather are dressed appropriately with layers. Boots are required. Poles are recommended. If weather gets cold and icy, please have crampons (ice cleats) with you. And please bring at least 2L of water, snacks, and lunch.

We will hike from the school down Kilbride Street to the Main trail at Twiss and No.8 Sideroad
We will follow the Main trail to the River & Ruin side trail and turn off to Lowville Park for a lunch/snack break
and then return same way taking other side of River and Ruin Side trail to the Main trail - Map 10 -

Description
Meet at the Calcium Pits roadside parking on Twiss Rd north of Derry Rd. Map 11, km 102.6; GPS: Latitude 43.447743 Longitude -79.953436.
We will follow the Main Trial into Crawford Lake Conservation Area and then follow various trails including the trail around Crawford Lake. We will descend into the Nassagaweya Canyon and then return up the steep incline to the top of the Escarpment via the Crawford Lake Side Trail. We will hike various trails to return to the Main Trail and onto Twiss Road.
Dress appropriately for the weather and for slick boardwalks and rocks as well as muddy conditions. Bring food and water, hiking boots, rain gear, no dogs please.

Please join us at 9:45 am. for a 10:00 am. start in the parking lot of Valleyridge Park on Valleyridge Dr. in Oakville. We will make our way to the eastern banks of Bronte Creek using urban trails, field trails and Bronte Creek Park trails to do a loop and return to our starting point. The trails are easy with some slippery sections. Bring water, a snack and hiking poles if using. We should get great views of the western side of the creek. Please dress according to the weather of the day. Covid protocols in place.

Join us for an ascent of one of the Bruce Trail's most famous hills - Kilgorie. A precious few hikers are able to claim they made it to the top. No badge, but lifetime bragging rights await. We will take in power house ruins on the Pine River, a murder story, an old forgotten concert venue, spectacular crevices and a real Enchanted Forest. This is a shuttle hike so bring a mask, a garbage bag for your dirty boots and a change of footwear. Please also bring layered warm clothing including a woolly hat and mitts. Pack icers just in case as well as a warm drink, a lunch and a snack. Please arrive 15 minutes early and be ready to shuttle at 9. Hiking boots mandatory. Poles highly recommended. Gonna be fun. Some windy road walking.
