Join me at Rattlesnake Conservation Area to search for the elusive Rattlesnake after which this area was named. I haven’t seen one yet but “hope springs eternal”, maybe this will be the time! Meet in the lower parking lot by 9:40 am. for a 10:00 am. start. Bring water, a snack/lunch and hiking poles if using. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Covid protocols in place. Expect two long hills and some rocks underfoot. We will hike north and then take the Leech-Porter side trail leading downtown into Nassagaweya Canyon. We will then head south and back up to the Rattlesnake Point trails. Great views over the escarpment looking towards Crawford Lake. Reservation required. I suggest making it for 9:40 am. Make two reservations back to back as the hike will last for three hours.
