**This hike has been cancelled due to Covid 19 precautions.
This is the first of a series of 11 hikes to complete the Iroquoia Section N-S, in the winter, twice! The other dates are planned for Jan 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, subject to weather conditions. We will hike Mon, Tues and Wed in January and push it to February if the weather prohibits us from hiking. Each participant will be emailed a schedule of meeting locations before January 5.

A few of the meeting locations will require reservations and a fee or a conservation pass. Sometimes we will meet in the same spot over two days and travel S-N one day and N-S the following day. Sometimes we will head in both directions the same day.

These hikes are subject to pandemic protocols and masks are strongly recommended.

Crampons or a suitable traction device will be needed for your boots – please ensure you bring these.

This is a small group series of hikes as there is limited capacity for parking in some locations. We will meet at 8:30 each day, brisk pace, 15 min lunch. Please register only if you intend to complete the entire series.

    …………………………………………………
Hike Leader: Louise Langlais; Email: langlaislouise@gmail.com. Cell: 519-222-4040 on day of hike. At other times, email is the best way to contact me.

Please email me at least 24 hours before the hike to register. Sometimes last minute changes are made to hikes; registering means you won’t be waiting around the meeting place not knowing why no-one else is there! Arrive at least 15 minutes early. If you are unable to attend, please email me at least 2 hours before the start of the hike, or text me if it is <2 hours before the hike. There is often a waiting list, so the more advance notice the better.

Wear appropriate quick-dry clothing and hiking boots. Bring sunscreen, snowshoes, icers (mandatory), snacks, lunch, a personal first aid kit, and 1-2 litres of water. During COVID, also bring hand sanitizer and a face mask.
