    Location (Google Maps): City View Park south entrance (proceed south on Kerns Road from Dundas/Hwy #5, take second left). BTC Map 9.

    Terrain: Strenuous – Hilly with steep climbs and some poor footing
    Distance: 18 km.

    Description

    Rediscover the beauty of hiking closer to home.  Airy woodlands.  Mountain brow breeze.  Epic waterfall and river valley.  Main Trail plus Ian Reid ST, Kerncliff Park ST, King ST, McNally ST and Norman Pearson ST.  Please bring lunch, 3L of water, bug spray and sunscreen.  Hiking boots a must.

    Location (Google Maps): Scotsdale Farm 13807 Trafalgar Road north of Highway 401, east side.

    Pace: Leisurely – 3km/hr or less
    Terrain: Moderate – Some hills and/or some poor footing
    Distance: 8 – 10 km.

    Description

    This hike uses a combination of blue and main Bruce Trail to explore this lovey area, some of it set on the Bennett Heritage Farm. There are areas of rocky terrain with hills, lovely creeks and farm land. Afterwards you can have a closer look at the farm and its history. Bring water, a snack or lunch, hand sanitizer and a mask. This hike is open to BTC members only and you must pre-register. Once you have registered you will receive a list of items to bring. Suitable for determined beginners.
