    Description

    Celebrate the long weekend and the best hiking season of the year with a 17 km stroll taking in a series of loops that will include the Hole in the Wall, the Black Creek Side Trail, the 17 Sideroad Side Trail, part of the Vanderleck Side Trail, the Canada Goose Side Trail and the Main Trail connecting them all.  Please bring lunch, water and snacks.

    This is an old favourite hike in the Dundas Valley with some hilly terrain.  I plan on going out rain or shine (but will cancel if thunderstorms), so please come prepared for the weather.

    Dundas Valley Trails and Rail Trail –  We will walk the Rail Trail to the Trail Centre and return by some trails of the Dundas Valley trail system.  Please note, this hike is open to BTC members only and you are required to pre-register on-line.  When you register you will be sent a list of items to bring and protocols to follow.

    Location (Google Maps): County Road 19 (Prince of Wales Rd) Parking Area. GPS Coordinates: (44.100049 -80.137339). From Orangeville, take Hwy #10 north. At Primrose, where #10 meets Hwy #89, go straight through the lights and you will be on Country Road 19. When the road bends to the right, look for the parking area on your right-hand side.     Description

    A loop hike in Boyne Valley Provincial Park, using the Main Trail and various side trails: Prince of Wales ST, Primrose Loop ST, Boyne Valley ST and Murphy’s Pinnacle ST. Hoping for a clear day to enjoy magnificent views from Pinnacle Rock. We will hike at a brisk pace, stopping once or twice for a snack break. Bring snacks and water.
