Limehouse Loops

Departing from Limehouse School, we will loop north through the meadows, return to the school, loop south through the Limehouse Conservation Area, have lunch and eventually return to our cars. A shorter 9 km hike for the summer. Please register with me to receive news of any changes to our plans.

We will hike up to the Devils Punch Bowl via the Bruce Trail and various side trails.We will return on various streets, as it will be getting dark on the return journey. Enjoy the long evening daylight! Optional Apres Hike stop for pizza (Has outdoor patio!) Hike Cancelled, if there is heavy rain.Directions: Take Centennial Parkway to King Street (Last traffic light before climbing the escarpment). Go East on King Street. Turn immediately right into the driveway for Battlefield Park (Sign at bottom of driveway on King Street). Meet in Parking Lot.

Good Companions - Dundas Rail Trail

Rail trail to Dundas Valley trail station. Lovely break at station then walk back to cars. Flat, good footing. Bring a snack, water, sunscreen and insect repellent.

Climb the steps and walk the streets and trails of West Hamilton. We will hike sections of the Bruce Trail as well as the trails of Iroquoia Heights. There will be weekly walks all summer. Now we are all getting older we are not hiking as fast as we used to. Hike is cancelled if there is heavy rain.

Join Phill and I as we explore this jewel of a valley during the summer. Tall trees will cool us off in the summer heat. We should see plenty of wildflowers and perhaps some wildlife. Terrain is easy with some long but gentle hills. Meet in the parking lot on the southeast corner of River Glen Blvd. and Neyagawa. (north of Upper Middle Rd. and south of Highway 5). Bring water, a snack or lunch, insect repellent and sunscreen.
