In part, this hike follows the Bruce Trail in Grimsby (which too is a part of Iroquoia), but the second half follows an urban street along the base of the escarpment in order to make a loop which ends with one dandy climb.
Meet on the wide shoulder of Park Rd. at the corner of Ridge Road in Grimsby next to a long row of high cedar trees. Wear boots. An optional pub stop will follow.

We will meet in the north parking lot closest to Hwy 5 where washrooms are sometimes (?) available.
The hike will follow the escarpment ridge along the main trail towards Waterdown and return via the Blue Trail. If conditions are favourable we will hike to the waterfalls off Waterdown Rd. Bring snack, water, sunscreen and bugspray. Refreshment stop at the Copper Kettle in Waterdown afterwards if you so choose and for anyone interested we will go on a tour of the True North Art Galley just around the corner.

Directions: From the 403 W take the Main St. W. Exit. Turn left onto Main St and travel to Osler Dr. Turn right and Follow Governor’s Rd. Turn Left onto Governor’s Rd and follow to the Dundas Valley C.A. at the edge of town. Entrance will be on your left.
