    Christmas Light Walk – Burlington

    Description

    Meet at 7:00pm at the Tim’s in Roseland Plaza at the corner of Guelph Line and New St for a Christmas Light walk around different streets of Burlington than the Dec 10 hike, except we will still go to the huge display on Spruce Ave.  Let’s get in the Christmas spirit!  Optional Tim’s or Pub stop after the hike.

    Mount Nemo Loop Hike

    Starting at  Dundas Driving Park we will hike to Dundas Peak and on to

    Tews Falls.  If the weather is not suitable for this, the hike will go

    around the streets of Dundas through the Heritage District.

    Please bring poles, water, snacks.  No dogs.

    Solstice Hike at Hilton Falls

    Description

    Sunrise is at 7:28 am for this year’s winter solstice!  Take a break from seasonal frenzy and enjoy a leisurely hike along the sections of the Bruce, Red Oak and Hilton Falls Trails at Hilton Falls Conservation Area.  Meet at the parking lot at 8:45 am for sign in.  Fee if you don’t have a Conservation Halton annual pass.  Fees listed here https://www.conservationhalton.ca/park-details?park=hilton-falls  Bring snacks and water, icers an poles.   Please note that this is a slower hike for those who want to experience winter at a slower pace in this beautiful conservation area and view the falls.   Registration not required but helps.  Contact Bron at brontreg@cogeco.ca for more information or 905-637-7136.  If you are coming up from Burlington I can car pool with you. For the day of the hike you can text me at 905-334-4013 if you get lost.   Cancelled in high winds or very heavy precipitation.

    I recommend you treat yourself to an annual pass to Conservation Halton sometime before you come. You can purchase at Crawford Lake CA.  You will get a discount with your Bruce Trail Conservancy membership.
